REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES (VOLUNTEER STAFF)


The GFIF Regional Representative is a volunteer Staff position who performs duties as Regional director of GFIF. He/she is intended to implement, monitor, and maintain the activities of Ghana Fatherhood Initiative Foundation in the Region and Evaluate activities of the Regional Dads Club Coordinator on-behalf of the National Secretariat.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The regional director is expected to:
1. Support the GFIF National Program in both specifics and spirit;
2. Ensure all events within the region are in compliance with the GFIF National agreement, curriculum and procedures;
3. Arrange for annual updates, courses, meetings and workshops of Regional
Dads Club Chapters at all levels;
4. Recruit and arrange for the training and certification of Dads Club Coordinators.
5. Work with the Regional Dads Club Coordinator, who is supposed to report directly to GFIF Regional office;
6. Facilitate the activities of the Dads Club Coordinators within the Region;
7. Provide feedback to Executive Staff on all events at the Regional level.
8. Communicate with all Dads Club Chapter Coordinators in the region on matters pertaining to changes and interpretations of the GFIF Rules and Regulations; and
9. Serve as an official spokesperson for GFIF in the Region.
10. Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Staff in the interest of GFIF.

 

Qualifications and Desired Skills
To be considered for the position of GFIF Regional Representative, the applicant must:
1. Successfully pass a screening, including a background check;
2. Annually submit a Volunteer Application Form and be approved as a volunteer in GFIF.
3. Ready to work or attend meetings, conferences at anytime within and outside the Region and Country;
4. Be familiar with the current events and activities of GFIF and Dads Club of Ghana;
5. Demonstrate an unswerving commitment to GFIF philosophy;
6. Have good organizational skills;
7. Have the ability to work with a large group of volunteers.
8. Have practical knowledge of GFIF and Dads Club of Ghana
9. Be committed to GFIF philosophy.

Supervision Protocols
While performing as the Regional Director of Ghana Fatherhood Initiative Foundation, the volunteer Staff who represents GFIF in the Region is:
1. Subject to the bylaws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines of GFIF;
2. Under the overall authority of and directly supervised by the Executive Staff of Ghana Fatherhood Initiative Foundation and supervised indirectly by the Founder and President of Ghana Fatherhood Initiative Foundation;

Time Commitment
The anticipated time commitment for a Regional Representative is at least six months.
